Terrific Broth is a high nutrient broth specifically designed for cultivation of plasmid bearing e.coli strains. The nutrient rich broth will give high yields of low copy plasmids and extremely high yields of high copy plasmids. A separate carbohydrate source is necessary to add to this formulation, typically 4 ml of glycerol is added per liter.

Pre-mixed media are easy to use and save both time and hassle of preparing formulations from raw materials.

Components
Directions Per Liter
Reconstitute 51 grams of material into 900 mL of deionized water. Shake until the solutes have dissolved. Add 4 mL of glycerol and shake to mix. Sterilize by autoclovaing for 15 min at 150 psi on liquid cycle.

Storage and Stability
Store at ambient temperature. Keep properly sealed and away from moisture. Product is hygroscopic.
